A WORD FROM DR. DAVID POWELL
There have been many exciting changes around HCSC/HCGA. Since our purchase by The Vistria Group back in early November, we have benefitted from several new relationships that have brought dimension and expertise to what we do, while maintaining our unique culture. Several new tools have been added to our tool belt in addition to a seasoned board of directors that is engaged in supporting our growth and development as an organization. Troy Yarborough has joined our team as my counterpart serving as Co-CEO and Chief Growth Officer while I continue on as Co-CEO and Chief People Officer. Together we have teamed up to lead initiatives to improve our organization and grow our footprint in SC, GA and beyond. We have a new CFO, Lakshu Sundaram and are in a search for a Chief Compliance Officer to round out the team. Most all of our previous leadership team has continued on as well, some in new roles but all aligned around our Mission to be the leader in end of life care always, serving our communities with compassionate care.
While we never want to lose our “locals serving locals” approach to care, we will be identifying some of our offices as Branch hubs while others will be satellites. This will streamline some of our processes and create efficiencies that were not possible before going on HCHB. In the coming days we will be sharing more info about that alignment and how your role as hospice physician supports this new model.
2018 was the strongest year in our history. We were blessed to surpass serving our 20,000th patient in SC! Thank you for another great year of serving together and we look forward to all that 2019 holds. Blessings to you, your family and your office teams for a prosperous and blessed New Year!
